News on HS2 in Staffs

We would like to invite you to our free online event to find out more about biodiversity enhancement and funding opportunities associated with HS2.

HS2 and Groundwork UK are hosting this free webinar to explain how to access HS2 Ltd’s Phase 2a Biodiversity Investment Fund (BIF), available for projects which will enhance biodiversity along the line of the Phase 2a route by restoring existing habitat and creating new habitat. This fund builds on those currently available to communities along Phase One and Phase 2a of the HS2 route.

The BIF has a value of £2 million and will be managed alongside and in synergy with the £5m Phase 2a Community and Business Funds (CEF & BLEF).

Our team will provide information on how to access the funds, the management and governance processes in place, the funds criteria and the links with CEF & BLEF, the HS2 Green Corridor and the Woodland Fund.

The webinar will be broadcast live on Thursday 13 May, from 12.00-13.00pm.

We will be publishing a video recording of the session online, so if you are unable to attend the event, you will still be able to learn about what we are doing through the HS2 website and on the HS2 YouTube channel. Further joining instructions will be sent to all registered attendees closer to the time.
