News on HS2 in Staffs

HS2 information points set-up for communities affected by the Phase 2a section of the route

As part of our commitment to keep communities informed about HS2, we have set up 13 information points along the Phase 2a route.

Situated in local community spaces, each information point features leaflets and booklets containing information about the project, including:

local impacts and maps

project timescales

initial work, such as ground investigations

help for property owners;

community funding

and how to complain.

The documents are free for people to take away.

Iain Andrews, HS2’s Head of Community Engagement for Phase 2a said: “It’s really important that we make information about HS2 as easy to access as possible. The new information points are just one of the ways we keep people up-to-date with the project, including events, meetings, newsletters and our local community websites. We’re always looking for new and effective ways to keep in touch with the local community, as part of our commitment to being a good neighbour to anyone affected by the new railway”.

· Stafford Borough Council offices - Riverside, Civic Centre, Stafford ST16

· Staffs County Council offices - 1 Staffordshire Place, Stafford, ST16 2DH
