News on HS2 in Staffs

Sutton Road

During summer we told you about work we would be doing west of Mile Oak to carry out a gas pipeline diversion.

We are now due to start the next phase of this work, which will involve drilling two shafts into the ground and using a boring machine to tunnel between these two shafts.

The machinery we need to use to bore the tunnel may need to run for 24 hours a day, however, because the work takes place underground we do not expect there to be any additional noise or disruption in the local area.

We do not anticipate there to be any disruptions to the gas supply in the area. full details are available in our latest notice.

Shirral Drive

Earlier this month we let you know that we would temporarily be closing Shirral Drive.

This work has been temporarily postponed. It is now due to start the week commencing 9th December for seven weeks. You can find full details in the updated version of the notice .
