Cadent is moving underground gas pipelines in the Coleshill area, to allow for the construction of the new railway.

Cadent will shortly be carrying out work on one of these pipelines near Faraday Avenue, south of Hams Hall Industrial Estate. We expect the work to be completed by November 2020.

Cadent will need to set up a temporary works compound on land close to the existing railway line, south of Hams Hall Industrial Estate. They will access the site via Edison Road and the A446 (Lichfield Road).

Work will take place during normal working hour- Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 18:00 pm and Saturday working from 08:00 am to 13:00 pm. There will be standard construction equipment and vehicles on site, and we do not anticipate that works will cause any disruption to local people. There will be no disruption to utilities during our works.

LM have been carrying out junction improvement works on the A446/Lichfield Road between Water Orton and Coleshill at the entrance to the current Severn Trent treatment plant. These works will now be extended until July 2020.
