News on HS2 in Staffs

We are working near Drayton Bassett to prepare the route for the new railway. This includes constructing ecological mitigation sites and vegetation clearance.

From the end of November we will need to temporarily close Shirral Drive, to help us carry out our work safely. The closure will be in place for around 7 weeks. Pedestrians and cyclists will not be able to move through the closed area for health and safety reasons.

There will be a clearly signed diversion route. You can find full details of the works in our latest notice .
